SMALL FRUIT

VACCINIUM: BLUEBERRY

Blueberries are a delicious fruit growing on a compact plant.  This plant also makes a beautiful ornamental shrub with its white flowers and brilliant orange-red fall color.  Clusters of blue fruit ripen in mid to late summer. Blueberries prefer an acidic soil in a sunny to partial shade location.   Add peat moss to the soil in order to obtain the required condition. Blueberries are self-fertile but the yield will be higher and the quality of fruit will be better if two or more varieties are used.
