| CURRANT |
This
decorative shrub blooms with white flowers on old wood. The
stems are prickly but the foliage is attractive with its green
lobed leaves that turn yellow in the fall. The fruit is
delicious in jellies, wines and preserves. Currants are
self-pollinating but will produce more fruit when 2 varieties are
planted together. Removing old stems will also increase the
productivity. |
