SMALL FRUIT

RUBUS: RASPBERRY

There are two kinds of Raspberries.  The Summer bearing (Floricane) and the Fall bearing (Primocane). The Primocane varieties produce fruit on new canes in late August and September.  As a result the plants can be mowed to the ground each spring to clean up the patch.  By mowing only half the row length each year, you can receive fruit crops in July (unmowed) and August-September (mowed).
